Dr. Kristy Callon is a California Licensed Acupuncturist, Doctor of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, and Nationally Certified Diplomate of Oriental Medicine. She holds a Doctorate from Five Branches University and a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Medicine from Metropolitan State University of Denver.

Her path into Chinese Medicine began with a deep curiosity about yoga, spirituality, and holistic health. After developing health issues of her own and finding that she was only offered temporary solutions, she began searching for deeper answers and a more root-cause approach to healing. This search ultimately led her to Traditional Chinese Medicine, an approach that deeply resonated with her through its recognition of the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. She was drawn to the way Chinese Medicine views each person as a whole being rather than a collection of symptoms. She has developed specialities in the following areas:

  • Male + Female Fertility
  • Women’s Health
  • Stress Management
  • Chronic Conditions

While attending Chinese medicine school, Dr. Kristy had the privilege of attending two home births, experiences that ignited her passion for fertility and women’s reproductive health. Witnessing the transformative power of birth inspired her to specialize in helping women balance their hormones, restore healthy menstrual cycles, cultivate a deeper connection with their bodies, and ultimately support them in bringing life into the world.

In treatment, Dr. Kristy offers compassionate, individualized care grounded in empathy and presence. She weaves the wisdom of ancient healing traditions, including Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda, alongside modern scientific research to create treatments that are both holistic and evidence-informed. She is committed to creating a safe and supportive space where patients feel deeply heard, empowered, and connected to their body’s innate capacity to heal.

She earned her Doctorate from Five Branches University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis in Physiology, along with a certificate in Holistic Health from San Francisco State University.

Dr. Willigrod is passionate about integrating Eastern and Western medicine, drawing from the strengths of both approaches to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care. She also had the privilege of studying at the National Hospital of Traditional Medicine in Vietnam, where she gained a broader understanding of acupuncture practices and their integration within healthcare systems around the world.

Dr. Willigrod’s specialties include:

  • Orthopedic and Sports Medicine
  • Pelvic Floor Care
  • Male and Female Fertility
  • Women’s Health
  • General Health and Stress Management

Her path to Traditional Chinese Medicine began through a health journey of her own. While completing her undergraduate studies, she was navigating her own health journey and often felt disheartened, lonely, and uncertain as she searched for answers. During her final year at San Francisco State University, she was introduced to acupuncture while organizing a holistic health event for students during finals week. Through her own healing journey, she developed a therapeutic relationship with an acupuncturist who helped her feel truly seen, heard, and validated. That experience revealed the profound impact of compassionate care and inspired her to pursue a career in Chinese medicine.

Today, Dr. Willigrod strives to create that same experience for her patients. She takes the time to listen deeply to each person’s unique story and develops individualized treatment plans that address both immediate concerns and underlying patterns of imbalance. She is dedicated to fostering a warm, nurturing environment where patients feel supported, empowered, and understood throughout their healing journey.

With empathy and compassion, Dr. Willigrod serves as a witness, mirror, and guide in her patients’ healing journeys. Her goal is to help patients cultivate peace, resilience, and harmony within the circumstances of their lives. By blending the wisdom of Eastern medicine with modern Western understanding, she supports patients in reconnecting with their body’s innate capacity for healing and wellbeing.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Willigrod feels most at home in nature. She enjoys surfing, hiking and trail running with her dog, tending her garden, playing soccer, reading, and sewing and knitting. These practices help her stay grounded, connected, and active, and continually remind her of the importance of health as a foundation for living a full and meaningful life. She believes that health is not simply the absence of disease, but a form of freedom that allows us to connect more deeply with ourselves, our communities, and the activities that bring us joy.
